How can I live without you
It is the last day.
Due to changing rooms, and the fridge keeping me awake at night with its sex life, the hotel rather nicely gave us a late check out to 1800 hours, along with a bottle of champers.
I'm quite distraught.
How can I wake up without seeing this in the morning? For 14 mornings this has been my joy.
The day passed lazing by the pool and grazing and napping. I do love napping.
And at 1800 we went downstairs where the reception team made a communal sigh. We left our cases and went for a coffee, and when it was time to go Chrystal the Receptionist came out and threw her arms around me. Mikalis from the bar said he would be sad to see us go.
We went outside and sat on the wall waiting for the bus. There was a shout and Spiros from the dining room was hanging out the window. "Maam, Maam, are you leaving? Oh No. Thank you for being here, we will miss you". Ahhhh.
Lena and Gio walked past and stopped, "You are leaving? Oh no".
then The three Indian boys walked past. "Maam, Maam, oh no you are leaving... we are sorry to see you go".
I was feeling quite emotional by then. And we never left one tip. Not one. The WHOLE week.
The bus was a freaking nightmare. Reaffirming all my comprehension of Hoomans.
The woman behind me was sitting in a two-seat by herself and her friend in the same one across the passage. She was speaking at 35 decibels to ensure that her friend could hear her across the passage.
In the following stops, we managed to pick up the two loudest men in the world, who decided to compare work histories both of whom were so obviously exaggerating their experiences; it was laughable. Both were in the services, but neither could remember exactly how long they served, or where, or what they did.
While they shouted at each other, the woman behind me was becoming more animated, Announcing loudly to anyone who would listen that some people were really annoying., and that there was a fly on board that was going to eat us all.
Fifteen minutes later she announced that the bus she had got from the airport took only 20 minutes she had been sitting on the bus for an hour and a half so far. and it was sweary sweary sweary. Then she picked up and hardback book and battered the back of my chair, and then the window repeatedly.
Si announced loudly when everyone screamed, "what's that noise". "This fecking idiot trying to break the window".
Of course, from there on in, I worried that she would be the person sitting next to me.
In the airport - Si had the worst headache (I wonder why). We got a seat and ordered a coffee, which we had to wait until the waiter served another 5 people to get. the coffee made.
Eventually, we got on the plane. We weren't sitting next to the idiots, (well I wasn't) Si had to endure a couple "pleasuring" each other during take-off. Once airborne we swapped seats with the couple I was sitting beside (we were aisle seats). The husband had an upset stomach and needed up and down to the toilet. They were ever so grateful to get the aisle seats.
We snuggled into each other and tried to sleep the flight away.
When we landed we watched everyone fight to get off.
We stood up to get off and they were closing the doors. We wandered into arrivals, I went to the loo. The queue was moving nicely and we got through passport control just in time to pick up both our bags, and we walked out ahead of most of the people who stood up and rushed off.
ha ha ha ha ha
And then. . in arrivals.
We were greeted by Boy - he was refused entry to the US of A, so Jess is away from home for a month, and we have Boy!
