Cuckoo

Emsworthy is a Devon Wildlife Trust managed area of Dartmoor, and a great place to hear a cuckoo. I’d not heard one this year so we made a fairly early morning visit. It was a glorious day. Just near this barn we heard the first one, and the call was continuous most of the day. We didn’t see one though.We also watched a pair of common redstarts at the barn. It is a great place to see bluebells too.
