Bobbins & Other Things

A trip to Beamish Museum today where we renewed our annual membership.


My collage shows the following (clockwise):

Bobbins of threads from the 1940's farm cottage

A lady making scones in the turn of the century miners cottage.  She was waiting for the oven in the range to get to the right temperature.  She said when she felt the knob on the oven door and it almost burnt her hand she knew it was ready for the scones to go in.

Another great day.  Lots to see and do.  We took a picnic and shared a bag of chips from the chip shop.
