We have arrived

I had an early start with a taxi to Heathrow at 0545. I was so late to bed last night that the alarm provided a rude awakening.

Our flight was delayed a little because a door was jammed.

We touched down in Rome at 1215 so not too late.

I found the rest of the group gathering in one of the cafés, then we went to load the van for our journey. There are 8 of us plus the tutor so there are no spare seats. See extra of the luggage being loaded!

The road journey east took us through many tunnels through the Appenines. There were multiple roadworks, but we finally made it to our lovely villa, across the valley from Ripastrone (main blip).

The internet here is limited and I’m hoping this will upload. What a place to be with stunning views.
