Loose Chippings

Misty to the south when I woke, but it cleared before I left for work, and a sunny drive down.  Mostly sunny all day, clouds passing over.  Windy!

Up at 5am, and headed for an early shift in the airport.  A busy day, various spells on the check-in desk, and also meeting and boarding flights this morning.  A fairly quiet evening at home, but dragged myself off the couch, met friend Julie and took the dogs for a walk.  Early to bed again.

This time of year, with the better weather starting, you start to notice seasonal work being done.  One of the seasonal jobs is road maintenance, chipping and tarring the roads.  It comes across as a mild annoyance, reducing your speed, chipped paint work from idiots that don't slow down, and fears of a chipped window.  This mild annoyance is replaced with a pleasant reminder, we don't have many potholes around the isles, as our local council do take care of the roads, which in turn keeps our cars in better condition.  Resurfacing the roads at Swinister, Sandwick.
