Making Tracks
It gets light so early now that we are a month away from midsummer that it was easy to arrive at the beach in sunshine by 7:25 this morning. The tide was ebbing but still there was no big walk to find the water and the seagulls and I had it all to ourselves. What a difference it makes to come out of the water and feel warm with no chill wind whistling round my nether regions.
The morning which had started so well went rapidly down hill when Daughter#5 phoned to ask me if I could scan a baby picture of her for some book that is being made. Ask no questions, just get down on my hands and knees to empty a cupboard full of old photographs and try to find one of her which has not aged into a brownish colour. When you are the last child in a big family there are fewer photos of you than there are of #1. No matter, I found three and attempted to scan them from the very old printer to an equally old iBook remembering along the way to change the new WiFi password on the printer. No joy in the scanning, computer USB connection not recognised, so I tried to copy the photos and printer ran out of ink with no replacement in the house. Eventually it was decided to photograph them and send them by email.
By this time I was frazzled and still had to order ink before trying to google what was going wrong with the scanning and stuff all the photo albums back in the cupboard.
It was only after all this palaver was over that I noticed my nice commodious Aldi bag I use to transport by swimming gear had obviously blown off the patio where it had been drying and had done a disappearing act. Completely- no trace whatever. Someone somewhere must have found my good heavy plastic bag albeit with some wet sand in the bottom.
