You And Your Pussy Cat...

Today was a bit sad.

We woke up and the pool was no longe r an eternity pool.  It's level had dropped and there were dead insects in it.

We went to reception and they said "next door had a problem yesterday, and the men found a problem, and to fix it they will  have to dig up the pool.  We will  move you.

So we went back to our room and packed our bags.

We then went on a tour.

3 PM pick up   So we sat on the loungers and waited,  No swimming in our pool today.

The bus was on time and the whole pick up thing is a revelation.

There were many people on the bus already, but we still managed to pick up more.

We stopped on a high peak and the lovely Greek driver Stood up and shouted, "get up, get out, photo shopping - you have five minutes".

We all laughed hysterically and then got off, took some photos  (See extra) and got back on.

it was 2 hours after we had boarded the bus before we got to Rhodes town centre.

The bus driver stopped and said "Okay - get off, you have 5 hours, I'll be back at 10".

So off we got, and off we wandered.

The Old Town in Rhodes is lovely.  Little streets full of little shops, full of people who see you standing outside, and come out and try and talk you into buying stuff.

We had a lovely wander, and then found a lovely taverna, where we sat and had beer and a pina colada.  I am becoming an expert in Pina coladas.

We also found a little paint shop and we looked through all of the paintings and bought two.   It was a lovely wee shop - away from the hustle and bustle, and this was his cat.

We then found a wee restaurant where we had Kleftiko and I had Souvlaki.  We watched a Greek office party in full swing and a dog riding a motor cycle.

We spent countless hours watching people endeavour to find the perfect Instagram shot.  We were astonished at the lengths people went to.   It's astonishing.   Total nonsense.

Then we went and sat on the harbour - and looked at the superyachts,  - 19,000,000 dollars worth one of them.  They were amazing.  Staff walking around in uniforms but with Bare feet, and shoe racks on the gangplank where they took their shoes and put them on after leaving the ship.   One of them was owned by a famour rich jeweller 19 million can you imagine?

the bus was 10 minutes  late, and someone didn't show, so he went round the block and came back and they came on.

It took over 2 hours to get home, and then we got our new room.
