Seeing’ Red

I last blipped this Acer on March 14th. Back then, it was bare twigs in the middle of a snowstorm. Just over two months later and it’s now in full leaf. In fact, I’m fairly certain that when we went on holiday last week, you could still see some branches behind the leaves. Nice to think that we’ll be able to enjoy it looking like this for another five months or so, before the leaves all drop off again.
Not a majorly productive day. Coffee with Stu this morning and more flat sale related paperwork this afternoon. Hadn’t realised you only had a very short time to submit a return to HMRC re Capital Gains Tax. We hadn’t made enough of a gain to exceed our CGT allowances, but it seems you still have to submit a return even if it’s “Nil”. My accountant did offer to do the return for £400 + VAT, but that didn’t seem like much of a bargain. I did it online and it was more time consuming than complicated.
Of course, Sod’s Law dictates that we now have to go to Chester tomorrow! Mum’s microwave has blown up and apparently I’m the only person who can get her a replacement. Still, should be something that can easily be sourced, purchased and installed, so we can be heading back home soon after lunchtime.
