Needed some exercise
Certainly I did after a day of sitting at my desk, or beside it when talking to patients. It seemed as though the juvenile Kotuku Ngutupapa (Royal Spoonbill) in my blip also had energy to burn. The colony were fairly much all in their trees, when this one suddenly flew away again. That it is a juvenile is shown by the black tips to the primaries.
The Weweia (dabchick) remains alone; in the same bay as I saw it a week ago. It came much closer to the shore today.
The other extra was taken a few minutes after I arrived at work this morning. I always feel cheered when I have taken a good photo of sunrise or sunset
