Dandelion Fields Forever

Woke up to a beautiful sunny and calm day, remained sunny and calm all day, and a lovely evening.

Up early, and got ready for a late shift in the airport.  A steady day of passengers.  A few minor delays, but most in and out on time.  A lovely evening for walkies with Sammy around Scalloway.  Yesterday I saw my first Skootie Allen (Arctic skua) of the year, and today I saw my first Bonxies (great skua) of the year.  They got hammered last year with bird flu, good to see them back.

It was a shame to miss such a fine day due to work, but I made sure I got out for a walk at lunchtime.  A lovely walk through the back lanes of the village, and came across this cheery field of dandelions.  I'm not sure if the locals would agree about it being cheery, I'm sure they could become a pest for some gardeners, but with the sun out, they were looking bright and cheery.  Taken at Toab, Virkie.
