To Boldly Go

Two big events today were (1) Zuma gave his first state of the nation address, laden with ambitious objectives but not much "how-to" (2) Luyanda, one of might closest friends/learners from last year, was awarded an 18,000 bursary (scholarship) for his continuing studies at the CPUT hotel school, which will cover most of his fees for next year.

Since it's raining 8 out of 10 days now and never gets light outside, movie nights are upon us....they only cost 3 bucks here, 1.60 on Weds. Although a die hard Trek fan since childhood, I'm also a steadfast skeptic when it comes to Hollywood's remakes and reboots. This movie did not disappoint in any way. It was simply awesome.
