Lilacs

I have a new camera!!! It was a gift from The Husband on the occasion of our 15th anniversary which was on May 23. I am going to be back-blipping a few images as I did not bring the right cable home over the weekend to be able to upload these.

This is my first ever macro, of some lilacs in our back yard. Lilacs are deep in meaning for me; two huge lilac bushes grew outside the window of the farmhouse I grew up in and their fragrance (one of my very favourite) evokes happy memories. They will also forever remind me of my mother, who passed away a little over 18 years ago, on May 24, 1995.
