Secret squirrel
A grab shot, at slightly crazy sensitivity settings, and then a massive crop. I liked the way the light was falling on the leaves, as the squirrel darted off up the tree and out of my sight, clutching its prize.
Back in Woolley Woods for a last look at the bluebells, as they start to set seed. I had planned to catch the train to Bridlington today, having booked on a gannet- and puffin-watching boat trip. But the winds and waves were too high for the skipper to risk it; something for another time, I hope.
Meanwhile, today's reported scientific estimates about global heating - reaching a 1.5C rise above pre-industrial levels by 2027 - are dire.
