Birthday Brunch
A family tradition is a fine brunch on birthdays, I was just thinking as I put this out for Benji how predictable what we put out was and then realised how this wasn't true and that this was so Benji, he loves his fruit and good quality food - so no bacon or greasy stuff for him. Fruit, plenty of it, museli, and fine cheese - not forgetting the marmite.
So my youngest is 17 and today got to drive for the first time. As is common I guess, he has been pretty silent with his parents for a few months, but recently normal communication channels have been reopenned. I remembered today to tell him not only do we love him, but we think he's awesome too. We were joined by his gran and his girlfriend for our late protracted morning meal. Coolest pressy of the day was Sgt Pepper vinyl and Foo Fighters Vinyl (muscial equivalent of museli and fine fruit?).
Elsewhere in my world we had the delighful company for the afternoon and evening of some friends from our time in New Zealand, so good to catch up and spend time close with them. NZ is a long way, perhaps we ought to make the trip again.......
