The Lozarithm Lens

Sells Green (Tuesday 16th May 2023)

I went back to the Mini dealership this afternoon to subject the salesman to my fearsome negotiating powers. I suspect that the free EV home-charging unit and a year's road tax he offered were standard to all buyers but I'm going to take it as a win. Now the decision is simply to say yes or no.

A stroll along the canal at Sells Green was called for to clear my head and I was rewarded with my first sighting of cygnets of the year. I also stopped off at Caen Hill but there are still no swans nesting in their normal spot, or in evidence at all. Finally, I called at B&Q for a supply of peat free ericaceous and multi-purpose compost in readiness for Woody Wednesday.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Geraint Watkins - Heroes and Villains (2004)
It shouldn't work but it does! Geraint was a guest on Cerys Matthew's Radio 2 Blues Show recently, and they played this, from the album Dial 'W' for Watkins. The Beach Boys original was a single taken from the forthcoming but eventually unreleased at the time album Smile, with a lyric by Van Dyke Parks and a Brian Wilson melody and arrangement.
