Black Bear, Les Marecottes zoo

He was enjoying a peaceful moment when we arrived with 15 children on our school trip. The zoo has animals that are, or were, native to Switzerland and is built on the mountain side with natural rocks for the animals to roam/ climb on. I’m not a big fan of seeing animals in captivity but as far as zoos go, this is one of the best I’ve seen and the children were delighted to see the animals they had been learning about.
