Beach Ban rules for doggies
The summer beach bans for doggies are coming into effect in Cornwall from today.
The Cornish beach ban rules are quite complicated................ As of today, in St Ives, I can only go on this beach (Porthmeor) and Porthminster Beach between 6pm – 10am. However I can go on Porthgwidden Beach & the Harbour Beach until July. And I can go on Bamaluz Beach and the beach behind the lifeboat station all the year round but there's only a beach there when the tide is out.
It's not really a problem for me because I always get my morning walk, way before 10am and I usually go on the beach, so obv that won't upset my routine.
For my afternoon walk Ann will just have to be more inventive.
Today I went along the lane for my morning walk and then after Ann had been to Zumba I went out for about 2.5 hours. We had a picnic sitting on a bench overlooking Porthminster Beach. OK Ann had a picnic and she didn't share.
The afternoon was spent sitting on our very sunny sun terrace.
Ann wanted to go sea swimming, but after she'd taken me to check out all the beaches, she deemed it to be much too choppy on every single beach.
Booooohoooo. Maybe tomorrow?!
