Red White and Blue

The sun shone from the off today and a friend messaged me early to say she was thinking along the lines of cutoff jeans and bare ankles. When I toddled out for my morning coffee, I texted her back and told her to forget the bare ankles, keep on the fleece  as it was freezing in the wind.

She arrived in the afternoon, long trousers and covered ankles. At least she wasn’t shivering and it did get marginally warmer to a heady 12°as the sun rose.

This is the  colourful stash of yarn I am using for a mammoth crocheting project on the go. It makes a change from socks and hats.
