Serene Sunday

A cloudy and mild morning which turned to sunshine and warmth by lunchtime. We enjoyed a calm early morning walk at Emsworth.

The sailing schools had beginner lessons for youngsters taking place on the mill pond. We enjoyed watching them having fun as they learned how to steer the boats and race one another around the buoys.

Then we walked along to the woods on the beach, and enjoyed the hazy views across the water to Hayling Island and Thorney Island. I feel so blessed to have this beautiful and interesting coastline on my doorstep.

This afternoon we’ve been in the garden, sorting and organising the seating and cold frames, and potting on plants - it’s looking lush and quite orderly for the moment!

Sad news earlier this week news that a near by neighbour has passed away. We didn’t know her well but the circumstances were sad. Our next door neighbour has been a saviour in taking care of her dear elderly Labrador dog and managing to find a rehoming charity who will help to find him a forever home.
