Got to pottery tonight to find last week’s pots have all been through the glaze firing. Out of five pots, this is the only one where the glazing has worked well - the others are all a bit rubbish, but I don’t know these glazes very well so I’m just learning about how they fire. However, I’m very pleased with this one - black underglaze markings with a transparent glaze. And a good shaped pot as well.

Earlier in the day, I bought a few more plants for the garden (mostly bedding but a couple of grasses too) but forgot to get any compost for the bedding plants to go into pots so they will have to wait a bit. I really should stop buying more plants as I don’t have enough time for everything that needs doing in the garden as it is - the weekends just aren’t long enough!
