Crossing the weir

A friend of the house owners messaged to ask if we would like to visit and take a look around their arboretum. They live in a converted mill house in the most beautiful setting. To enter the arboretum entails a wade across the weir, wellies are available, and onto an island given over to tress planted over the last thirty years. The 300 species/variety’s include different oaks, pitch pine, sequoia, monkey puzzle, different walnuts, a tulip tree and more. Phoebe the dog enjoyed a good romp around, all that sniffing to do.

John borrowed an angle grinder, keys needed to enter the barn are with the owners, an ooops moment no doubt.
