A questioning look?

A small herd of cows have moved into the field next us, the meadow is looking lush with a fenced off area for them to graze gradually. They belong to the farmers on the slow tractor who bring a milking unit over to the cows each morning and evening. We had a g and t sat outside the ‘ boloungerie’ in the evening sunshine, it was time for me to come in to prepare food when John spotted the farming couple walking across the field behind the boloungerie, they all exchanged a few French/English words as they explained it was time to do the milking. John tried to say how good the cows and field look and was impressed with their milking system. We may popover tomorrow evening for a closer look.

(When walking back with the dog this morning I spotted Madam driving the old tractor out of the milking field with a trailer full of milk churns, we assume they are taken back to the milk cooler waiting for collection.

We are wondering why each cow is wearing a necklace (horn lace) around the top of its head, we hope to investigate and find out more over the next few days.

It was hair cut day, all is well, I met John afterwards for a small beer just outside the salon, the atmosphere in the town centre was lively in natural, friendly way.
