Convallaria majalis var. rosea.

Today's the day .................... to carry on

At the end of May last year, we had a visit from the Grumpy Old Man (or as we like to call him, Maurice) and Sheila while on their way westwards for a few days holiday.

It was lovely to see them and particularly nice because Maurice brought me a present of something from his garden.  As you might expect, it was something a bit special.  Not just your ordinary Lily of the valley (which I love) - but a pink form of it - Convallaria majalis var. rosea.  As you can see from the above shot taken today, it has managed to survive through the winter and is looking as delicately lovely as it was when he gave it to me.

So, this is a blip for Maurice to say - thanks again for giving it to me - and that I will carry on doing my utmost best to ensure that it continues to go from strength to strength .................!
