Flowers and Family - perfect combo
With the rainy day forecast, we decided to plan an indoor day. I ran out in the drizzle to get a quick photo of the Iris, cannot remember the name. I have seen white Dutch Iris but not sure about the purple ones. Hubby vacuumed. Kim invited us to a combined Mother and Father’s Day lunch. We already have plans with my mother tomorrow and we’ll be out of town on Father’s Day. Brooklyn chose Olive Garden, one of our favorite lunch stops. It was wonderful and so was the company. They laid out all their NYC plans. Their smiles were infectious. My sister had picked up a few begonia plants for me, lettuce for Kristen and dug up some purple hollyhocks for me. She and our BIL stopped by to deliver them. After lunch, we made a quick trip to my friend’s to give her daughter a few things. We ran by the greenhouse to get two tall annuals for my big flower pot of begonias and two herbs to help keep the deer away from my hostas. Then we dropped off Kristen’s plants. I got all my plants in the ground/pots just before the rain started. Hubby took a nap but he was up before 5:00 to feed Millie. We are going to 5:00 pm Mass and just read afterwards. Hope your day was pleasant. Thanks for the visit and gifts lately. So glad you liked what I shared. Stay safe. “What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are tor humanity.” - Joseph Addison
