Duke of Burgundy

A day of perfect sunshine ! We took our weekly walk to Howe Ridding and at last we were rewarded with three Duke of Burgundy butterflies in the same spots we found them last year. Also a freshly emerged Pearl bordered fritillary! So things are looking up.
Rob also spotted a rare longhorn beetle.
It was such a lovely afternoon that we finished off with a martini in the garden!
