Ignoring Maggie
We're spending the night in Grantham, near the village where we'll attend the funeral tomorrow. I knew that someone famous (other than Margaret Thatcher) was connected with the town but it wasn't until we walked the streets and noticed Isaac Newton names everywhere that I could remember. Here he is, in front of the Town Hall, with Maggie just a little way along the small park area.
We're staying in a small hotel on North Parade, the street where Thatcher was born, but there's no blue plaque, only a rather smart black one placed on the wall by the local historical group (I would guess).
