… gardens today, where Wanda and I had lunch. Lots of other people had the same idea plus a group of school children on a painting workshop, so it was quite busy. Very happily so we thought although others complained that it was chaotic. I have happy memories of taking my class on the same workshop and am delighted it’s still going.

Wanda is doing a fund raising walk for the Royal Marsden on Sunday, walking past the hospital in Brompton Road where Alastair underwent his stem cell transplant this time last year. She was visiting him when the walkers passed under his window. He said that next year he and Wanda would be out there walking with them. On Sunday she’ll walk with her family in his memory.
