Along the river

we came across these concrete pipes, John thought it might be a way of slowing down the water, any other thoughts? This was an off shoot from the river. In the distance can be seen brown cows drinking from the river.

An enjoyable dog walk along the river into the next village, here there are a couple bars and a large church.
