Rain eventually stopped!

It rained for all of yesterday, with some overnight, and then heavy showers this morning. Finally at around 2pm bits of sun were appearing, so I went off for a beach walk.

It was SO COLD! There was a very strong cold wind on the beach, but in the village when the sun shone it felt warm. I saw some people wearing sleeveless tops and shorts and with no coats!

On the beach there was a ‘family’ flying an old fashioned single line kite. As is often the case, the father had the kite line and was doing all the kite flying; the mother was doing the watching and retrieving when it crashed, and the child was totally disinterested and playing in the sand! When are women going to realise that THEY can fly kites too?  :)
