heron happy dance*...

sometimes in life - one just needs to be silly - today was one of those times for me - i took a lot of photos at my little lake - the heron being especially cooperative - he allowed me to get uber close so i got some wonderful close-ups of his glorious face - all that detail, with his cool blue cap - i even captured him coming up out of the water after catching lunch - rising up wings outspread - that was a sight to see - but the lighting was a bit funky - you know how that goes... in the end, i decided on this one because i don't often see the herons around the lake doing their "fluff out wings" thing - they tend to be a bit reserved - kind of stuffy, if you ask me... so it was rather nice to see them loosen up a little - go with the flow - get fancy free and foot loose or is foot loose and fancy free?

which is what we all must do - have some fun - don't allow the worries of the day to drag you down all the time - life is simply too short - every now and again - maybe when no one's looking... take a moment - step aside from yourself and do the happy skippy dance - perhaps even now would be a good time - go ahead, i won't tell anyone - and let it be...
