The Posh Sun Hat
It was really hot and sunny today. I couldn't do much because the nerve pain was a bit intense, so I took a dose of the strong pain killer and read outside on this glorious day. Sitting on a paraphernalia of various cushions and folded blankets until I found some degree of comfort. My neighbours offered to pick up a few things from the supermarket for me, as they always do when they go; such kindness is much appreciated.
I managed to strip the sheets off my bed but couldn't muster the energy to go back and forth to the laundry, but at least the bed is fresh as a daisy for tonight, one of my greatest pleasures.
The care home rang to say that the GP has started my Mother on a course of Frusemide today, her ankles and feet are badly swollen so hopefully this will take that down. We managed a chat on the phone and for once she didn't cry so I think the increase in her anti-depressant is doing the trick.
I told her I would see her in a couple of weeks time. Something for her to look forward to.
I've just realised I left the blankets and cushions on the chair outside and it's just had a downpour. Oh well, they're wet now, I'll sort them out tomorrow.
