Mary Gibson

Have tried to read this inscription every time I've passed it on Rutland Square, but to no avail. Noticed today that it was almost legible, presumably after having been rained on heavily. 

Throughout the 1940s, 50s and 60s, Mary Dunlop was a well known West End character along with her white pony "Smoky", pulling her barrel organ on a small cart bringing music to the doorstep of many a resident.

So now we know.
