Work in progress
We made a bit more progress on the front garden today, so it's only fair to blip it, complete with most of the balcony plants, apart from some that have stayed in pots (and the small number still in pots back in EDI - mainly the pots on the railings).
Gardening mostly came after a trip to Shandwick Beach (see extra) which was mostly lovely, with a pretty large group of Sunday swimmers. Well, the other swimmers were indeed lovely, and so was the light on the water, and the water was .... turbulent .... but after an initial foray into the water holding the Go Pro attached to my hand, I tried out the head mounting for it. Whoops. The first wave that hit me must have knocked it off, and .... sorry, Mr A, no Go Pro any more. He's been remarkably decent about it....
Anyway, I took out my frustrations and annoyance about a lack of care for possessions on some harmless weeds and so we've got the top bed above the main front garden bed largely clear of nonsense. I'm looking forward to improving that bed in the same way we've managed with the front garden. Our neighbour J came for a cup of tea and a bit of a chat later in the afternoon. She was impressed with our garden progress. The brown bin is full again, and we have six bags of garden refuse in the garage waiting for us to take them down to the tip. It's amazing how it builds up.
Enjoying the evening light of the endless northern twilight.
