Coronation High Tea

After a very wet Park Run, we spent the rest of the morning enjoying the spectacle of the Coronation. I was not quite 3 months old at the time of the previous occasion so it was fascinating to see the history behind the arcane ceremonies and, although I’m neither religious or a particular Royalist, you couldn’t help but admire the pageantry and precision of the whole event.

By way of marking the occasion we had a high tea of Coronation chicken paninis, pork pies, Scotch eggs and home made scones with clotted cream and jam. Very tasty!
