Blair Atholl Highland Games

I got a text from my Scout (Katy) yesterday asking if I wanted to go up to Blair Atholl this morning as the Highland Games were on. Another sunny and warm day so it was very busy and very entertaining. We watched the hammer throwing, the kilt wrestling, country dancing, caber tossing, the parade of the Atholl Highlanders Army Band. We were also entertained by loads of dogs and people watching. Great food too. Gone are the days when all there was on offer was a burger van and ice cream van.

Although when we arrived in the car park and let Breagha off for a run as she was hyper this lurcher, greyhound cross had her neck in its teeth! Luckily no damage done and Breagha none the worse (she just gave a yelp and then a growl at the beast.

I had loads of pictures so once again had no idea of picking just one. I liked this one, which is the kilt wrestling ., but if you would like to have a look at the pictures of the day then please click here..

Another hectic weekend and I am bushed (although trying to keep eyes open for Case Histories).
