My Devoted Companion
I stare into these big liquid brown eyes and I see looking back at me a silent, devoted companion, that's little Breagha. Every trip in the car has her trembling in anticipation of another run in the countryside.
We shared a really special walk tonight. On our last visit to Ballathie Wood a week past Thursday, the bluebells weren't out, but tonight, there was a sea of bluey purple in all directions. I cannot fully capture the beauty of this wood at this time of year. There are some magnificent old trees, spaced out enough to allow the evening sun to filter through, making the grass sparkle and the sight of the bluebells, as far as the eye can see, take your breath away. I am not exaggerating either.
There was no-one else here, just me and my dog and I sat with my back to a tree at the top of the hill and sat and was thankful that I was here to enjoy it.
It's a special place.
Difficult to choose a picture, but to see more of this wonderful place, click here and this other one with Breaghas head just popping through. Let me know if you think I chose the right one!
The bluebells seem to be casting bluey bits on her chops! Looks odd!
