Coronation of Charles III

After 70 years in the wings, Charles has finally got his crown!
It was a very religious ceremony with loads of fancy dress. Interesting to watch as a peculiarly British proceeding and it’s one of those things that seem to bring the country together for a while.
I understand Scotland wasn’t joining in much though. I wonder if it will affect their drive for independence. I think Britain is stronger united but we shall see.
We had a walk to Park End Moss with Misty, there were no swallows, swifts or house martins to be seen, and I hope this is not at last the silent spring we have all been dreading.
On a more cheerful note, Imogen is still here and I’m sure she was smiling at me !
