Coronation Day
After breakfast it was down to Helston Farmers Market. Some of the produce was purchased for lunch.
A sourdough ‘Coronation Crown’ from a local bakery, made with sunflower seeds, and oranges and raisins soaked in fruit tea.
Scotch eggs made with venison and black pudding, and sausage rolls from a small artisan bakery.
Cheeses - Cornish Yarg wrapped in garlic leaves, and Cornish Bri.
All absolutely delicious.
We managed to get back in time to watch the Coronation. What a magnificent spectacle.
Afterwards we were entertained by Graham who has a magnificent Dutch Street Organ.
To round off the afternoon we drove over to Mousehole. It was surprisingly quiet and warm in the sunshine. Two ice creams rounded off the afternoon nicely.
Lastly down to Perranuthnoe to watch the waves crashing onto the rocks.
A very enjoyable Coronation Day.
First extra the Street Organ. Second extra Mousehole. Third extra Perranuthnoe beach.
