Well, hello!

When the weather is right, the sun shining, the sea flat calm, there is nothing for it but to abandon everything you have planned, put on your life jackets and launch the boat!

Ollie came with us, wearing his own life jacket. We have tried to take him in the boat before, but he jumped out and headed for the shore, so this time I kept a tight hold of him. It didn't take him long to realise both his humans were with him and it was quite safe and he began to relax. We had a gentle pootle about and headed for the shore where I saw the seals the other day. A couple of them swam out to meet us. Mike stopped rowing and they swam round the boat, very curious to see what we were up to! On the shore behind him there are a couple of eider ducks. The bay is full of them at the moment.

We had a lovely time, the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and we weren't the only ones who thought so, two lots of neighbours were out in their canoes too!
