New Shoots

It's probably too soon to pot these seedlings on but the growing season seems shorter than ever and I don't have all that long before I have to plant them out and give the pigeons and slugs a wee feast! They're 'Lemon Crystal' cucumbers and 'Yellow Oriela' courgettes - who needs greens anyway?

Only managed to fit 6 holes of golf in this morning in between visits to my mum who's a bit under the weather just now; not been eating at all and was even off her cups of tea, not a good sign! But she scoffed some macaroni for lunch & followed it up with some Vienetta ice cream - looks like she's on the mend!

Off to the airport tonight to pick up S, she's been helping her mum move house, and I'm off tomorrow for the bank holiday; a long lie-in may be in order!
