Towards Chesil Beach
First day here has been fabulous weather wise, although fairly quite on the holo=iday activities front.
A little lie in this morning which is a rarity. I got up and Tilly and I went for a walk for a couple of miles before brunch (allowed ourselves a full english.... yummy!).
A quiet hour or two and then we've been for a walk up Monarchs Way to the highest point at Thorncombe Beacon (154m climb - Phew!), and, after that, a reward. We went over to Down House Farm for one of their famous cream teas. OMG - full breakfast and a cream tea! How outrageous!
A nice stroll then back to the cottage. Only covered about 6 miles in total today but had over 300m of climb in that.
This image was taken looking back towards Chesil Beach and Portland Bill from about half way up to the beacon.
