Peregrine Falcon

Our evening program ran long tonight - so I'm blipping fast and then going straight to bed. 

This is a peregrine falcon. We went to a site where they routinely nest every year and we were lucky enough to have this one land right below the overlook where we were standing.

The extra is a red-headed woodpecker - he was kind enough to basically almost join us at lunch at the Fayette County park!
