Honeybees

Some good weather today brought the bees out. They are busy foraging on various flowers as you can see from the varied colours of pollen on their legs. I think dandelion is a bright yellow, the white is plantains and I’m not sure about the orange, possibly daffodils.
There are great carpets of dandelions around us at the moment and when I had a quick look in the hives I could see some bright yellow honey being laid down.
The bees with the bright orange and black stripes are the newly hatched ones, and they will be busy for about six weeks.. The plainer darker looking ones are the older worn out ones!
