An at-home-on-our-complex day - working on the balcony, (lesson prep for my nephew's GCSE Eng Lit tutorial), chatting to neighbours, walking Rufus around the garden and immediate vicinity and generally enjoying the warm sunshine, until 6pm for what turned out to be more than two hours of conversation on Zoom with Jonathan mostly regarding the terminology for talking about poetry in his upcoming GCSE English Literature exam. We talked about metrical feet including iambic pentameter - I love the way his unexpected and astute responses to my questions and statements often teach me a thing or two.
