Give me a gull

Happy 1st May. Sadly I did not wash my face in the dew as I couldn't find any!
Slept much better last night, partly due, I'm sure to the fact that we got blankets from reception so we're much warmer.
Today after breakfast we took the Dolmus (local mini bus service) to Fethiye, the nearest town. It's an amazing mix of history and tourism.
We walked plenty, over 17, 000steps during the course of the day. We had lunch in the old bazaar then walked along the promenade area for a couple of miles. My blip is a phone by the sea, it really made us smile. There are numbered yellow telephones everywhere which connect directly with a central taxi line. They can then locate you by the number of the phone handset which you give them. We haven't ever used them but they seem a good idea. This though, is a normal public telephone.
The gardens at the hotel are beautiful, very green and with lots of exotic flowers.
We're having a quiet night this evening hopefully. The weather is set fair for the next couple of days. Tomorrow's plan is to go back to Fethiye it's market day but we also want to try to track down a way of getting to the rings of an ancient town an hour and a half away. Hopefully by public transport as the tours don't seem to have started yet
