Hontaru Festival

One hundred thousand LED lights floating down the Sumida river to symbolise fireflies in the May Hontaru festival. Thanks to Luke for this shot, as he was lovely and patient after his battery ran out and I kept snapping away.

The tower in the background is the Tokyo SkyTree. It was a lovely night, although some kids with dubious homemade fireworks made the river a bit too exciting!
