Coronation succulent

I think in terms of coronation decor and souvenir this is a low.  Spray painting succulents and then selling them for £2.99.  This greeted my mother and I when we went to the garden centre this afternoon.  She had two gift vouchers from a cousin for her 90th so the plan was to spend it.  We could only find one and then the nearest garden centre didn’t accept it so the whole thing was a bit of a busted flush. 

Still we chose a shrub from the meagre selection that filled a gap in the border that runs along the front of the house and it will give flowers when there is little else out there 

We had a nice time together and the sun shone!  

In the evening we went over to see friends for dinner the other side of the county so a long drive there and back.  It was good fun, they are very well connected and there was at least one living legend there.
