The no man's land between Cairgorm NP to the east and Glen Coe and Ben Nevis off west.
Lovely amble in, with the loosest of plans, enjoying the emptiness and embracing the Rannoch-y peat bog.
Found a cool water slide for a dip and warm up brews on the beach. Congratulated ourselves on getting the timing of this one just right to avoid midge-aggedon but not be *too* cold and bleak.
Firewood scavenged and successfully transported across the deeper than it looks burn we settled in for a 7/10 bothy night.
