Gobble-dee-gook!
A Gould’s turkey wandering in the mountain woods. These are the largest wild gobblers in North America. In the 1970’s, they became extinct in the Madrean Sky Islands of southern Arizona. Reintroduced in the ‘90s from their native Mexico, they are flourishing.
Not much of a day. Did tons of laundry and ran a few errands. Later, I learned that my aunt, who stopped speaking to mom and me 15 years ago, passed away. Since I don’t care, condolences not necessary. It’s just a note to myself for posterity.
In other news…one of the newspaper reporters asked via email if I would agree to be interviewed (with 4 others) for some kind of feature. More when I find out what I agreed to. :-)

I’m not much of a hunter but I did shoot my first turkey today. Unfortunately, I’ve earned a lifetime ban from the supermarket
