WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Same Fiddlers Different Pub…

…minus three of them who had to go home to Scotland.
So we took John, Sandy and Mandy to the boat and went to Skipton basin by canal. They loved this novel way of travelling to a session. A table had been reserved for the musicians and so the fun began!
There was a hen party of really lovely Yorkshire lasses who surprised us as one wanted to sing Danny Boy and once they found the right key made a nice job of it then another asked she could borrow Frank’s fiddle and played
Ashokan Farewell, the another came over and sang The Rattlin’ Bog.
Although the night before had been an excellent night in our pub this session was even better.
In the main photo Sandy is singing a love song to his wife ;-)

We said our goodbyes and they vowed to come back down to play. They were over the moon with the lovely Yorkshire welcome they got.
We were home about 6.30 pm and I was exhausted!

I’ll have a couple of quiet days now before I head up to Scotland to Sabrina’s.

This Blip is yesterday’s as I was too tired to Blip last night.
;-) X
